Roam

Spring 2017

The written character is a natural representative for movement since the very nature of reading is an act that begins in one place and ends in another. Likewise, narrative texts provide a format which visual narratives can exist either in conjunction with the words or simply by the placement and style of the words themselves. The later form of these writing forms implies that the visual (written/typographic) component of the poem is a necessity for the meaning as the words chosen. This project is also inspired by my experience of Safari in the Serengeti and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
